MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW FOR JANUARY 1st NOON If you missed the POLAR BEAR WALK 🐻‍❄️ at the Park last year, you are going to want to check it out. This will be the 4th Annual Mountain Spruce Community Centre Society Polar Bear Walk in the Park and an All Ages (adults & kids) Scavenger Hunt‼️ Thursday, January 1 from 12 noon until 2pm at the Mountain Spruce Community Park at 6335 Mahood Lake Road (just before the turn into Deka) There will be lots of PRIZES to be won plus enter to WIN a YETI cooler Prize Pack 🎁 HOT DOGS 🌭 & HOT CHOCOLATE by DONATION! There will even be a fire to stay warm and to roast marshmallows so bring a chair🥳 Join us for a walk through the park and scavenger hunt with your family, friends and neighbours. Bring your camera and make some memories, there are some beautiful spots along the trail and at the viewing deck, you might even see the otters or other critters playing on frozen Heron lake🎄Such a fun way to bring in the New Year and a fresh start to 2026 🥳 Everyone is welcome. Donations help us to put on events like this and others, we are a nonprofit society, thank you for your generosity ❤️Big thank you to the CRD for the grant to help fund this event ❤️

It’s Crib Night at the Mountain Spruce Hall 7571 Pettyjohn Road every 2nd FRIDAY so mark your calendars. Just $4 per person. You don’t have to be an expert crib player, people are there that will help you count your cards and everyone is there to have fun and meet others! If you are coming from Deka or Higgins and need a ride, let me know and I will try to arrange a carpool 
Please note this will be an alcohol free event. Complimentary coffee & tea will be available and pop & water is just $1 each. You are all welcome to bring snacks & your own non alcoholic beverages if you wish.

CALLING ALL MUSICIANS‼️ Come on out on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 7pm for a fun evening of music at the Mountain Spruce Community Hall at 7571 Pettyjohn Road at Sulphurous Lake. Bring your instruments 🎸 🥁 🪘 🎹   🎷 your voices and jam with your neighbours, friends and other musicians from around the Cariboo. All ages, skill levels and abilities welcome. Let’s see all the talent from around the lakes 😉 $2 drop in fee. Feel free to bring a snack to share with others. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are always complimentary and pop & water are $1 each.

BEGINNER GUITAR LESSONS

Have you are wanted to learn to play guitar 🎸??? Well now you can! Tracy Lynn will be running a beginner guitar lessons workshop. Six two hour sessions. Dates to be announced from 5-7pm. Cost is $105 for 6 - 2hr sessions. All you need is an acoustic guitar…no experience necessary🥳 Workshop will be held at the Mountain Spruce Community Events Centre 7571 Pettyjohn Road at Sulphurous Lake. Remembrance Day Ceremony

Wednesday, November 11th, 2026
10:40 am

Mountain Spruce Community Centre Society will be holding a Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Mountain Spruce Hall on Wednesday , November 11 starting at 10:40am. Feel free to bring a chair. Poppies will be available and your generous donations will go to the 100 Mile House Royal Canadian Legion. Cookies, tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided after the ceremony inside the hall. Looking forward to seeing everyone from our communities out for this important ceremony 🌺
